We are now looking for a
Financial Controller with 3-5 years of experience, including experience at Group level,
to support our finance operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business undergoing significant change with systems implementations to support the continued expansion and growth of the Group. You will support these initiatives. This role provides an excellent opportunity for someone to grow and develop their finance experience.
What You'll Be Doing
As our Financial Controller, you will prepare accounts for the ABL Group corporate entities, support corporate budget holders in managing spend according to budget, and support Group finance initiatives. This is an end to end role covering everything from transactional activity to planning, forecasting and liaising with budget holders.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Lead the posting of invoices and ensure correct departmental and nominal coding
Manage month-end accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
Analyse and report on budget vs actual variances
Help budget holders manage actual spend in line with the budget
Prepare and manage intercompany invoicing and reconciliation
Assist with treasury remittances and other finance-related duties
Year-end audit
Support group reporting and group audit activities
What We're Looking For
Degree-qualified and working towards a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA)
3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar finance role
Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet, and intercompany accounting
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
Solid knowledge of accounting standards and reconciliation processes
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, audit support, and financial reporting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented
Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Flexible to adjust working hours around financial cycles
