Financial Controller
Job Description
This position falls within the CIB group, this is a senior, full-scope finance management position. In addition to supporting financial decision-making and carrying out internal and external reporting, the chosen applicant will possess strong commercial acumen and engage stakeholders as critical success elements. Knowledge of the insurance and wealth management industries is not necessary for the position. Selected candidates will get the chance to learn more about these particular industries and enhance their skills. The chosen candidate will also be expected to comprehend and support the broader Financial Control strategy themes of reliable reporting and process enhancement. As part of the function, reliable and high-quality reporting will be expected as standard operating procedures. Crucial deliverables in the Financial Control initiative will also include alignment with and involvement in the ongoing functionalization and process improvement imperatives.
Education:
- Bcom degree in financial management / Accounting
- Fully qualified CA(SA) with experience in a financial services industry
- Four to six years of expertise in project management, analytics, or related reporting
