Financial Controller (3-Month Contract) Finance
Durban - KwaZulu Natal - South Africa

Our client, a multinational manufacturing company in South Africa, is looking for a Financial Controller for a 3-month Contract to provide financial analysis and support to management and all operations areas of the business.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• CA / CIMA
• Minimum 5 year's experience in a similar role
• Manufacturing experience

Key Performance Areas:

Financial Strategy

General Financial Management and Reporting

• Review and action Financial variances (Budget / Forecast)

Financial Management Systems

• Manage and maintain the accounting and business intelligence systems

Internal Control

• Design, document and implement Internal Controls
• Maintain and Review the Risk Register

Budgets / Forecasts

• Prepare the consolidated Budget process and timing plan
• Review Operational budgets
• Prepare the consolidated forecast process and timing plan
• Co-ordinate and consolidate all forecasts

Financial Reporting

• Prepare and circulate the Monthly BU Financial Pack
• Review the BU Flash Results and action any variances

Capex and Fixed Assets

• Consolidate and maintain the BU/Plant Capex reports

Costing

• Calculate landed cost on all import shipments
• Prepare / Review DA 190
• Investigate Purchase Price Variances
• Generate variance report of Actuals to budgeted information

Audits and Yeear-End Processes

• Prepare the consolidated Audit plan
• Prepare and plan Year-end Statutory Audit (external and internal) in line with the consolidated Audit plan
• Prepare reporting Accounting, Audit and Tax Packs

Cash Management

• Oversee cash management function of the BU

Debtors Management

• Oversee debtors function of the BU

Creditors

• Oversee Creditors Function of the BU

Forex

• Manage Forex risk
• Review Forex Forecasts

Statutory Returns

• Ensure compliance with the general tax provisions
• Review Statutory Returns (VAT, PAYE, SDL, UIF, WCA) and ensure that they are submitted timeously
• Support process of Provisional/Income Tax returns

Prepare and submit Government Incentive Applications
