About Us We're a small, lean team supporting an entrepreneur who has built a $50M+ annual revenue portfolio of 35+ franchise locations and an online education business that helps other franchise owners scale to build wealth. You'll work directly with the owner. No layers, bureaucracy, or corporate nonsense. This is a team of doers where your work actually matters and gets used immediately. About the Role We're looking for a sharp, numbers-driven Financial Analyst to research franchise opportunities, build financial models, and turn complicated P&Ls into clear, simple insights that drive content and business decisions. This is not a corporate finance job. You'll be digging into real businesses, real deals, and real numbers, then making sense of them in a way anyone can understand. If you love breaking down businesses, understanding what makes them work (or not), and can take messy financials and make them simple - this role is for you. What You'll Do
Build simple, clear financial models for franchise brands using real P&L data
Research business opportunities on listing sites like BizBuySell
Create deal summaries that highlight what matters: investment, returns, risks, upside
Support due diligence on potential partnership and acquisition opportunities
Help analyze internal business performance metrics (funnels, conversion rates, LTV, etc)
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or business analysis
Strong financial modeling skills in Google Sheets or Excel
Experience in an entrepreneurial, small business, or fast-paced environment (not just big corporate)
Ability to work independently and make informed decisions without hand-holding
Clear written and verbal communication in English
You can take something complicated and explain it simply
Bonus If You Have...
Exposure to multi-unit businesses, small business acquisitions, or franchising
Familiarity with online education, membership businesses, or digital marketing metrics
Experience analyzing deals or investment opportunities
You're a Fit If...
You genuinely enjoy breaking down businesses and understanding the numbers
You're proactive - you find problems and opportunities, not just wait for assignments
You thrive in small teams where you own your work
You're comfortable with ambiguity and figuring things out
