To perform accounting and administrative tasks related to fixed asset management and capital expenditure and to support the Fixed Asset Accountants in ensuring the accurate and timely recording and classification of the Groups fixed assets
To provide support to the Fixed Asset Accountants with the operational aspects associated with the fleet management process across all the ADvTECH Divisions i.e., Schools, Tertiary and Properties Divisions.
Responsibilities include:
Fixed Asset Register Accounting
Ensure completeness and accuracy of fixed asset register
Compile fixed asset transactions & reconciliations for approval by the Accountant
Run depreciation journals for approval by the Accountant
Perform Fixed Asset related analyses, as required
Provide required input into monthly Operational reporting ensuring accuracy and completeness
Provide training, guidance and support to fixed asset staff in the brands
Fleet Management Support
Provide fleet maintenance support to the Brands - follow up on escalations.
Assist with ad hoc fleet administration.
Query Resolution
Monitor status of Fresh Service queries
Provide guidance on ad hoc queries from Brands.
Obtain documentation required by internal and external auditors
Resolve queries within the agreed 2-day period
Capex Support, Compliance & Projects
Ensure task execution, is aligned with the Standard Operating Procedures
Ensure timely execution of ad hoc projects
Provide training, guidance and support to fixed asset staff in the brands with respect to Capex applications
Provide support to the assistant financial administrator with regards to the capex application process
Education:
B. Com Financial Accounting degree
Experience:
* 3+ years in a similar role
