My client is looking for a Financial Accountant with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role coming from Property ideal candidate must have a completed degree in B.com Accounting and SAICA articles.
Qualifications:

• Completed BCom Accounting degree
• Complete SAICA -Non-Negotiable

• Caseware
• MDA
• Minimum of 3 years commercial experience

Job description:

• Assistance to the Group Manager & Finance Managers to any related queries
• Cashflow forecasting Group companies and properties.
• Audit readiness
• Year -end finalisation
• Review pre-billings.
• Reconciliations
• Monthly management reporting to clients and listed funds
• Compilation of financial statements on CaseWare in line with IFRS
• Update insurance policies with newly acquired assets.
• Ensure financial records are in line with IFRS.
• Complete income tax returns, provisional tax returns and VAT returns
• Calculate company income tax, provisional tax and VAT.
• Monthly review of trial balances and general ledger and ensure amounts are accurate and complete
• Review suppliers and ensure supplier balances are accurate and complete
• Update monthly accounting working papers
• Perform deposit reconciliations
• Reconciliations of project payment schedules
• Ensure all supplier invoices are included in the project payment schedule
• Report on outstanding debtor balances to management
• Ensure customers outstanding balance are recovered by following up on outstanding amounts
• Issue customer invoices where applicable
• Ensure all income has been recorded
• Ensure intercompany debtors, creditors and loan accounts agree
• Ensure that all year-end month end journals are processed including depreciation journals payroll journals ,investment journals, lease smoothing, interest, fair value,provisions and general journals
• Lease smoothing calculation and interest calculations
• Maintain asset register and depreciation calculations including tax asset register
