Job Description

As a Financial and Leasing Specialist with a CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) qualification, your role would involve a range of responsibilities related to financial management and leasing activities. You will be the 2 IC to the FM. Here are some of the typical duties you might have in this role: * Financial Analysis: You would be responsible for analyzing financial data, conducting feasibility studies, and evaluating the financial viability of potential leasing opportunities. This includes assessing the profitability, risks, and return on investment for leasing projects.

• Lease Negotiation: You would be involved in negotiating lease agreements with clients or lessees. This would involve understanding the financial requirements and objectives of both parties, structuring lease terms, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Risk Management: You would assess and manage financial risks associated with leasing activities. This may include conducting risk assessments, implementing risk mitigation strategies, and monitoring the performance of leased assets.
• Financial Planning and Budgeting: You would contribute to financial planning and budgeting processes by providing financial insights and recommendations related to leasing activities. This may involve forecasting revenue, analyzing costs, and developing financial models.
• Lease Accounting: You would ensure proper accounting treatment for leasing transactions in accordance with relevant accounting standards (such as IFRS 16 or ASC 842). This includes recording lease-related financial information, preparing financial statements, and maintaining lease documentation.
• Performance Monitoring: You would monitor the financial performance of leased assets, tracking revenue, expenses, and profitability. This involves conducting regular financial reviews, preparing financial reports, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Compliance and Regulations: You would stay updated on financial regulations, tax laws, and leasing industry standards to ensure compliance. This includes adhering to reporting requirements, maintaining appropriate documentation, and liaising with auditors or regulatory bodies.
• Relationship Management: You would build and maintain relationships with clients, lessees, financial institutions, and other stakeholders involved in leasing activities. This includes providing financial advice, addressing inquiries or concerns, and fostering long-term partnerships.
• Continuous Improvement: You would seek opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness in leasing processes. This may involve identifying areas for automation, implementing financial control measures, and recommending process improvements.
