Job Description

Job Summary
Manage the full accounting function incl. raising and processing of invoices, management of debtors and creditors etc.
Ensure all accounting records are up-to-date and accurate
Process payroll journals, completion, and submissions of EMP 201xe2x80x99s
Foreign currency management i.e., covering foreign purchases, managing FEC contracts, Payment of foreign suppliers
Plan activities of the department to ensure group compliance and regulatory deadlines incl. managing subordinates
Stock management
Contract management
Monthly balance sheet reconciliation to ensure the trial balances are complete and accurate
Investigate and respond to queries like variance analysis
Propose and implement recommendations to improve processes and procedures
Communicate and coordinate with the Operational team and be actively involved in business operations
Prepare monthly Management Accounts and reporting incl. detailed commentary and cost-saving recommendations
Finalise monthly VAT recons and submissions
Liaise with external auditors
Provide detailed analysis and reporting of GP% per product and customer

Skills & Experience:
Forex experience nonnegotiable
Retail or Imports experience nonnegotiable
Able to work under pressure
Good Excel skills
Detail-orientated with good time management skills

Qualification:
BCom Accounting degree
BCom Honours advantageous
OR
SAICA / SAIPA articles with 3 years post article/commercial experience
