Job Description

Job Summary
Managing the full accounting function, ensuring all accounting records are accurate and up to date at all times
Planning the activities of the department to ensure compliance with group and regulatory deadlines, including management of subordinates
Stock management
Foreign currency management
Contract management
Prepare monthly Management Accounts and reporting, including detailed commentary and recommendations to Directors on cost-saving initiatives and other important matters.
On a monthly basis, a detailed analysis and reporting of GP%, - per product and per customer
Proposes and implements recommendations to improve processes and procedures and ensure adherence to current processes and procedures
Communication and Coordination with the Operational Team and being actively involved in the operations of the business.
Investigating and responding to queries such as variance analysis
Processing of payroll journals, completion, and submissions of EMP 201xe2x80x99s
Finalising monthly VAT recons and submissions thereof
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations xe2x80x93 ensuring that the trial balances are complete and accurate
Liaising with external auditors

Skills & Experience:
FOREX experience non-negotiable
Exposure to working in a fast-paced environment
Post-article commercial experience
Must be able to work under pressure and deliver on deadlines

Qualification:
B.Com Accounting Degree
Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles advantageous
