Job Description
BerryWorld South Africa is seeking a detail-oriented and ambitious Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial accounts, supporting business decisions, and maintaining compliance with company policies and reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Transactional Accounting & Bookkeeping - Accurate bookkeeping, reconciliations, provisions, accruals, and fixed asset register maintenance. Debtors, Creditors & Cash - Processing invoices, payments, reconciliations, credit card management, and supplier liaison. Budgeting & Internal Reporting - Supporting budget processes, analysing spend vs budget, and driving cost-saving initiatives. Banking - Managing beneficiaries, cash flow monitoring, reconciliations, and reporting to leadership. Audits & Financial Statements - Assisting with audit queries and providing team support.
Skills & Competencies
Strong attention to detail with excellent reconciliation and analytical skills. Logical, efficient, and commercially minded problem-solver. Clear communication skills for internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work independently, under pressure, and to tight deadlines. Organised, proactive, and collaborative team player.
Requirements
Qualifications: Diploma/Degree in Accounting Experience: 2+ years of commercial accounting experience and 3+ years of computer literacy (MS Office, ERP systems) Knowledge of IFRS/IFRS for SMEs, INCO terms, and FOREX transactions Other: Valid driver's license
