A top-tier Insurance company is seeking a Financial Accountant to be part of their team in Stellenbosch.
As a Financial Accountant, you will manage everything from daily cash flow and profit strategies to high-level reporting, ensuring every number is accurate and drives the business forward.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the delivery of monthly management accounts, annual budgeting processes, and comprehensive revenue and expense forecasting.
Safeguard the accuracy of entity-level financial results by performing detailed variance analysis and reconciling income statement and balance sheet fluctuations.
Monitor business unit performance by analysing earnings, expenditure trends (burn rates), and client profitability.
Consolidate financial data for group reporting purposes, providing insightful commentary on high-level movements and trends.
Facilitate data-driven decision-making through real-time performance reporting and the identification of P&L optimisation strategies.
Oversee daily accounts payable and banking operations while managing debtor reporting and capital allocation KPIs.
Manage statutory reporting requirements and maintain accounting systems, ensuring dashboards provide accurate, real-time visibility.
Requirements:
Qualified Professional Accountant (SA), AGA(SA), or CIMA.
0 - 2 years of post-article experience.
Advanced MS Excel skills are essential
