A leading player in the Agri sector is seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join their finance team in Pretoria. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your financial expertise in a dynamic, growing environment. Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans essential.
Manage the month-end and year-end closure process; Prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations and perform regular audits to resolve discrepancies; Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation; Compile and manage budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with relevant departments; Analyze budget variances and provide financial recommendations to management; Ensure compliance with internal controls and support audit processes' Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement; Manage inventory accounting and perform physical counts. Oversee capital asset management, monitor capital within approved budgets, and conduct physical asset verification Provide actionable financial insights and reporting to support senior management decisions.
A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field with 3-5 years experience in a Financial Accounting role. Prior experience in the agriculture or grain sector (highly beneficial). Willingness to travel as and when required. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting systems. In-depth understanding of accounting standards, compliance, and audit processes.
