Our client in the Automotive sector based in Port Elizabeth is currently looking to employ a Financial Accountant.

Requirements:

• Work experience as an Accountant.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including GAAP.
• Hands on experience with accounting software like Sage, Simple Pay and Microsoft, Business Central (the latter not compulsory as we will train).
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot table.
• Experience with general ledger functions.
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
• BSc in Accounting, Finance, or relevant degree.
• Additional certification IAC, SAIPA.

Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:

• Manage all accounting transactions.
• Handle the payroll function xe2x80x93 payroll processing, MIBCO calculations and returns, leave accrual, prepare and submission of EMP201 and EMP501.
• Ensure compliance with CIPC, NCR, NCRS and COIDA xe2x80x93 submissions of returns.
• Assisting with monthly, quarterly and year end stock counts xe2x80x93 ensure accuracy of inventory valuation.
• Prepare Budget Forecasts and monthly Cash Flow analysis.
• Prepare Financial Statements.
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual costings.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements.
• Compute taxes and prepare Tax Returns.
• Manage Balance sheets and Profit/Loss statements.
• Maintain Fixed Asset register xe2x80x93 calculate depreciation, additions, and disposals.
• Review of Income statement and Balance sheet up to Management accounts.
• Report on the companyxe2x80x99s financial health and liquidity.
• Audit financial transactions and documents.
• Comply with financial policies and regulations.
