Financial Accountant

Job Description
AfrikDelux, a South African based travel agency, has an exciting opportunity (based in Paarl) for a dynamic Financial Accountant. The incumbent will be responsible for the accounting functions of Stevie Wonder Tours, including drafting of financial management information which enables management to make business decisions.
Specific duties include:
- Supporting the business plan with financial projections
- Statutory returns and compliance
- Financial management of the organisation, including creditors, debtors and management accounts
- Financial advice to management on cashflow and cash movements
- Financial analysis and reporting
- Financial forecasting
- Oversee groupxe2x80x99s fiscal activity, including treasury, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and auditing
- Ensure timely financial and statistical reports
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and legislation
- A relevant tertiary qualification (Accounting degree)
- Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles
- Experience in Xero accounting software will be beneficial
- Continued professional membership and adherence to CPD requirements; OR at least 5 years accounting experience
- Experience in the tourism/travel industry will be advantageous
- Business Acumen
- Adjustable to change and self-motivated
- Eager to learn and flexible
