Job Title: Financial Accountant - Manufacturing Industry

Location: Pretoria - Silverton

Reporting To: Managing Director

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced

Financial Accountant

to join our team in the manufacturing sector. This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and supporting strategic financial planning.

Qualifications and Experience:

BCom in Accounting or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar financial role, preferably within the manufacturing industry. Strong working knowledge of relevant accounting principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing:

Manage monthly payroll, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Bank Transactions:

Daily processing and reconciliation of bank statements.

Accounts Receivable:

Oversee debtor accounts and follow up on outstanding payments.

Accounts Payable:

Manage creditors, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.

Cash Management:

Perform and reconcile cash ups; manage petty cash.

Monthly Reporting:

Prepare and submit accurate monthly management accounts.

VAT:

Handle VAT calculations and timely submissions to tax authorities.

Inventory:

Assist with regular inventory counts and reconciliations.

Reconciliations:

Perform general ledger reconciliations and other account reconciliations as required.

Key Skills and Competencies:

High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Software Proficiency:

Sage

(essential)

Advanced Excel

(pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, etc.) Payroll software knowledge
