Opportunity

Our client in the construction industry is seeking an Accountant to join their Finance team in Midrand, JHB. This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified CA(SA), CIMA, or BCom Honours (Accounting) graduate with completed articles, who is looking to gain broad exposure across financial operations in a project-based and growing business environment.

The Role

As Accountant, you will support the Finance team with financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement across multiple entities and jurisdictions. You will gain end-to-end exposure across tax, reporting, reconciliations, payments, and commercial support -- making this an excellent springboard into more senior finance positions.

Key Responsibilities (Year 1)

Preparation of Annual Financial Statements across multiple entities. VAT/GST submissions and compliance reporting. Balance sheet reconciliations - preparation for some entities, review for others. Preparation of monthly overhead reports with variance analysis. Commercial support including review/sign-off of rental and credit applications. Payments review and approval across jurisdictions. Management of group assets and photocopier contracts. Contribution to finance process improvements and system optimisation.

Education & Experience Required

Newly qualified CA(SA), CIMA, or BCom Honours (Accounting) with completed articles. Strong technical accounting knowledge of IFRS 15 (advantageous). Experience in construction or project-based environments (advantageous).

Pay: R40000,00 - R60000,00 per month
