Join a leading transport and logistics business where finance plays a key role in keeping operations efficient, cost-effective, and on the move. We're looking for a Financial Accountant who is technically strong, well-organised, and confident taking ownership of the full accounting function from month-end journals to financial statement drafting.
In this role, you'll work closely with operational teams, helping translate financial insight into better decisions on the ground. You'll also help refine internal systems and processes to strengthen controls and improve reporting accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly journals, reconciliations, and management accounts
• Draft annual financial statements and supporting schedules
• Manage creditors, payments, and supplier reconciliations
• Oversee and process payroll and statutory submissions
• Maintain accurate general ledger and balance sheet schedules
• Support budgeting, reporting, and audit preparation
• Develop, refine, and implement financial systems and controls

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• BCom Accounting or Finance with SAICA / SAIPA / CIMA pathway
• 1-3 years post-article accounting experience
• Experience drafting financial statements (essential)
• Strong understanding of journals, reconciliations, payroll, and creditors
• Sage and Pastel Partner experience required
• Strong Excel skills and a continuous improvement mindset
• Clear communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments
