Financial Accountant
Job Description
Are you looking to join a reputable construction company based in Johannesburg East as a Financial Accountant? This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented and hands-on individual with a BCom Accounting degree, and ideally, completed articles, to step into a stable role within a well-established and growing business in the construction sector.

You will be responsible for the full accounting function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting. The role offers broad exposure and autonomy, making it ideal for someone looking to grow within a hands-on, operational finance environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full accounting function, including general ledger maintenance and month-end processes
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements
- Budgeting and forecasting support
- Processing journals, reconciliations, and accruals
- Management of fixed assets, VAT, and tax submissions
- Liaising with external auditors and ensuring audit readiness
- Cash flow management and reporting
- Assisting with project cost tracking and reporting
- Completed BCom Accounting degree (essential)
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles (advantageous but not required)
- 2-4 years' experience in a similar role or in an accounting environment
