Financial Accountant
Job Description
A well-established and fast-paced manufacturing business is seeking a detail-oriented and commercially astute Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting directly to senior management, the successful incumbent will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and driving cost-effective decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS
- Analyse cost drivers and contribute to cost-saving initiatives
- Monitor inventory and bill of materials for accuracy and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with statutory and tax requirements
- Maintain and improve internal controls and reporting processes
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Liaise with auditors, SARS, and other regulatory bodies
- Support operational departments with financial insight and analysis
- CA(SA) qualification is non-negotiable
- Minimum 2-4 years post-articles experience (manufacturing industry experience advantageous)
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and tax legislation
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite advantageous)
- Proficient in Excel and financial modelling
