Job Description
This globally respected engineering and construction firm delivers critical infrastructure solutions across energy, water, and telecommunications sectors. The South African division plays a key role in advancing power generation initiatives, providing innovative and sustainable solutions across the region.
As a Financial Accountant, reporting directly to the Financial Manager, you will hold a key position in our organization. Your responsibilities will encompass liaising with international project teams in the US, Canada, Puerto Rico, and GHEA to support financial operations. You will oversee vendor invoice tracking, coding, and communication with suppliers to ensure accurate and timely processing. Additionally, you will handle cash collections, maintain the cashbook, perform bank reconciliations, and manage VAT201 and EMP201 submissions. You will be responsible for opening and managing project codes and sub-project structures in line with audit and corporate requirements. In this role, you will also serve as the go-to resource for all project-related financial queries and reporting needs.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- 5 years of financial accounting experience in a project-based or engineering environment
- Exposure to international finance processes and systems
- Oracle experience
