Financial Accountant
Job Description
A leading fintech company, renowned for its expansive digital payment network across 40 African markets, is seeking a skilled Temporary Accountant for a 6-month fixed-term contract. This organization connects over 500 million mobile wallets and 200 million bank accounts, facilitating seamless cross-border and domestic transactions.
In this role, you will report to the Finance Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with international standards, and efficient financial operations. Your contributions will be pivotal in supporting the company's mission to simplify payments and enhance financial access across the continent.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- BCom Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification
- Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles
- Minimum 2 years of post-articles experience
- Proficiency in month-end closures, VAT submissions, and journal processing
- Strong understanding of IFRS standards
- Experience in preparing Board packs and conducting month-end reviews
- Familiarity with fintech or digital payment environments is advantageous
