Requirements

• Bachelors Honours Degree / NQF Level 8 in Management Sciences or Finance and Accounting
• Registered with SAIPA - South African Institute of Professional Accountants
• Professional Qualification: Professional Accountant (SA)
• Up to 6 years of relevant experience
• Expertise in areas such as Accounting, Law Firm Finance Management and Operations

Responsibilities

• Assists the Financial Manager and CFO by contributing to the development of sustainable operational practices for the finance

division * Monitor and ensure that all expenses incurred but not captured, are accrued on a monthly basis

• Reconciles and reviews various account and provides reports to the relevant stakeholders
• Compiles and analyses the trial balance and balance sheet of all the Firm's departments with commentary on variances and/or

discrepancies for reporting purposes * Compile, analyse, report and process payments on monthly statutory returns such as VAT, etc.

• Prepares and maintains the asset register on a monthly basis by making and reviewing the required adjustments
• Assists the Finance Manager with selective audits and co-ordinates external auditors
• Facilitate, discuss and prepare budgets / forecasting plan with business leaders and managers and address any relevant queries
• Prepare budget and forecasting presentations for Excom.
• Adheres and enforces best practice service standards, statutory and regulatory compliance applicable to the finance function
• Prepares finance management pack for distribution at monthly management and EXCOM meetings
• Organises / coordinates people and resources to achieve desired work output / targets / outcomes
• Develops and maintains communication structures and communicates work requirements and relevant information to direct reports
