This FMCG giant has made a global mark within its space for the last 66 years, operating in over 160 countries and housing many production plants around the world. With a multi-billion Rand turnover for the business, this astute company seeks a Group Financial Accountant to oversee the finances of 4 entities.
The incumbent will be responsible for analysis and reporting (Including managing SARS requirements), preparing financial reports for 4 entities, constantly monitoring and reporting all deviations from budget, ensuring timely and efficient processing of the month-end closing process, interacting with other departments to review and analyse departmental financial statements, reviewing all balance sheet accounts, monthly reconciliations and any journal entries that may be needed at the month end, preparing monthly packs for the unit, preparing, reviewing, and approving recons, calculating interest on long term loans and operational interest for forecast and budgeting purposes, preparing SARS documentation and information as required (VAT returns), Completing and submitting Company corporate tax on One Source, weekly cash flow management, and overseeing and checking the accuracy of Accountants work.
Qualification and Skills Required:
- BCom Financial Accounting.
- SAIPA or SAICA accreditation.
- 2+ years experience as a Group Accountant.
- Experience in the FMCG or similar industry advantageous.
