This FMCG giant has made a global mark within its space for the last 66 years. Operating in over 160 countries and housing many production plants around the world. With a multi-billion rand turnover for the business, this astute company seeks a group financial accountant to oversee the finances of 4 entities.
The incumbent will be analysis and reporting (Including managing SARS requirements), prepare financial reports for 4 entities, constantly monitoring and reporting all deviations from budget, ensure timely and efficient processing of the month-end closing process, interact with other departments to review and analyses departmental financial statements, review all balance sheet accounts, monthly reconciliations and any journal entries that may be needed at month end, prepare monthly pack for the unit, prepare, review, and approve recons, calculate interest on long term loans and operational, interest for forecast and budgeting purposes, prepare SARS documentation and information as required (VAT returns), Completing and submission of Company corporate tax on one source, weekly cash flow management. Oversee and check work accuracy of Accountants work.
Qualification and Skills Required:
- BCom Financial Accounting
- SAIPA or SAICA accreditation.
- 2+ years experience as a group accountant.
- Experience in the FMCG or similar industry advantageous.
