Job & Company Description:
The successful incumbent will deliver accurate and efficient financial reporting. The primary responsibility will be to oversee and monitor statutory returns, act as a liaison to third parties, and participate in reviewing and completing tender documents. You will also assist with year-end assessments and play a critical role in helping finance to attain monthly targets.

Duties Include:

• Manage daily accounting operations
• Prepare and review account reconciliations and journal entries
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Analyse financial transactions and produce insights
• Analyse financial discrepancies, make adjustments and provide recommendations
• Compile information for audit purposes
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Prepare and maintain financial statements, documents and records
• Track and report on accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure compliance with regulations
• Liaise with third parties in terms of legal matters, review and audit financial statements, and manage the insurance of assets
• Liaise with banks
• Prepare and review asset sales / purchase agreements
• Annual and monthly budgets and actuals
• Tax planning
• Weekly cash flow planning and payments review
• Process foreign payments
• Prepare financial statements / management statements
• Attend to SARS audits / queries
• Monthly group reporting
• General operational reporting
• Implement and review internal accounting controls
• CIPC annual returns and SARS tax returns
• Annual payroll reconciliations

Education:

• BCom Degree in Finance or Accounting

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles, essential
• 3 to 4 years post articles experience in a full function accounting role
• Good understanding of accounting software / ERP systems
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Deadline driven
