An opportunity exists for a young and energetic candidate with a sound financial background to form part of the finance team who will oversee and manage the team, design, and implement controls to ensure good financial practices are compiled and are kept in place. To be part of a financial team in the tourism, property and finance sector. Ensures financial practices and information are in line with the company policy and all statutory legislation and regulations. Responsible for providing financial management support and advice (typically in the form of financial reports, cost control & financial trends and ratio's) to stakeholders of the OPCO and property companies, to enable them to make sound financial decisions. Assume they day to day responsibility for planning, managing and controlling all financial related activities within the OPCO and properties. Ensure financial practices and information are in line with the company policy and all statutory legislation and regulations.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent is essential
• Degree or Diploma in Accounting / Cost Management Accounting

Experience

• 3-5 years experience in similar field
• Cost of Sales (requirement)
• Advanced skills in MS Office
• Hospitality Accounting experience (beneficial)
• Evolution / Opera / Micros (beneficial)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Cost Analysis and control
• Tax Compliance
• Ensuring that Homeowners statements are completed and are paid on time
• Treasury Function and Cash Control
• Party Matrix
• Procurement (F&B, Chemicals, linen, amenities
• Stock Control
• Payroll
• Manage Fixed Assets
• Support the Financial Managers and CFO with any queries related to the finance department
• Assist Financial accountant with the annual budget process
• Budgeting and Budgetary control
• Accounts receivable
• Creditors
• External audit & preparation of annual Financial statements
