A leading group is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their team. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial management, reporting, and analysis to support operational, budgeting, and strategic decision-making across the Group.
Duties:
- Manage the financial accounting function across multiple projects.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Analyse financial performance against budgets and highlight variances.
- Oversee banking, cash management, and daily/monthly cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax legislation, and statutory obligations (VAT, PAYE, etc.).
- Liaise with auditors and maintain robust internal controls.
- Manage fixed assets, insurance claims, trade debtors, and creditors.
- Support preparation of annual financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Supervise and mentor junior finance staff as required.
- Undertake ad hoc financial projects and group administrative duties.
Completed Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional qualification (SAIPA, SAICA, or CIMA) preferred.
3-5 years' relevant experience in financial accounting or financial management.
Proficiency in SAGE Evolution and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Solid understanding of IFRS and audit practices.
