The Financial Accountant will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, ensuring statutory and tax compliance, and supporting audit processes. This role requires a meticulous individual who can manage internal controls and uphold financial policies. The successful candidate will contribute to a compliant and audit-ready finance environment, supporting the centre's overall mission.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements
• Manage audit processes and liaise with external auditors
• Maintain and monitor internal financial controls and processes
• Support the implementation and enforcement of financial policies and procedures
• Oversee monthly reconciliations and financial reporting cycles
• Submit tax returns and statutory submissions on time
• Review and maintain general ledger accuracy
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Provide timely financial data and insights to management
• Keep up to date with changes in accounting standards and relevant legislation
• Ensure documentation and record-keeping meets audit standards
• Support risk management through financial oversight

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles preferred
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a financial accounting or compliance role
• Knowledge of IFRS and tax legislation
• Proficient in financial systems and Microsoft Excel
• Matric
• Own reliable transport

Remuneration
Basic Salary R25 000 - R30 000 Depending on experience
