Make journal entries for all receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
Provide financial information to Management by capturing and analysing accounting data; preparing reports; complying with statutory requirements and meeting company and statutory daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlines.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Accounting Degree essential.
Min 5+ years experience in an accounting office environment (pref. medical / pharmaceutical).
Must have Foreign Exchange experience.
Payroll and stock control exp. essential.
Key Performance Areas: Report to the Managing Director:
Financial accounting:
Provide Management with all financial information, statements, and reports.
Prepare monthly management account pack together with supporting schedules and reports.
Bank statements - capture and reconcile cashbook.
Prepare details debtors cashflow and weekly cashflow (4 companies).
Prepare payment for Withholding Tax, including scheduling payments to foreign suppliers).
Process statutory returns associated with Payroll PAYE / SDL / UIF.
Prepare and submit monthly VAT return.
Prepare and submit Workmen's Compensation return.
Prepare detailed reconciliation of statutory payments on salaries (PAYE/UIF/SDL) and attend to bi-annual and annual submission of the EMP501 reconciliation / IPR5's and IT3(a)'s.
Ensure company Tax Clearance and BBBEE Certificates, and all other relevant documents, are kept updated.
Salaries and wages:
Process salaries on Pastel Payroll) and load payments.
General administration:
Petty cash.
Load payments on Standard Bank Business Online.
Create new stock codes.
Update Pastel accounts for 3 companies.
Competencies/Skills:
MS Office Suite, especially mastery in Excel, Pastel Payroll
Able to multitask, prioritise, and manage time efficiently.
