I am recruiting on behalf of my client for a sharp Financial Accountant (Cost & Management) in Pretoria who's ready to turn spreadsheets into superpowers. If reconciling accounts, analyzing costs, and keeping budgets in check makes your heart skip a beat, this is the role for you.

You'll work with a tight-knit finance team, tackle complex accounting challenges, and level up your skills in tax, IFRS reporting, and insurance. Bonus points if you like turning chaos into neat journal entries.
Key Responsibilities:

• Close Encounters: Handle month-end and year-end close processes like a pro.
• Money Talks: Prepare management accounts, annual financial statements, and regulatory reports.
• Analyze This: Dig into expenses, variances, and support budgets and forecasts.
• Asset-ive Management: Keep fixed assets, WIP accounts, and IFRS compliance in check.
• Taxing Matters: Submit tax returns, manage insurance declarations, and oversee finance risks.
• Team Player: Collaborate across departments, auditors, banks, and SARS to keep finances smooth.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar.
• 5+ years in a comparable accounting role; manufacturing experience a plus.
• ERP savvy (JDE essential; QlikView & Hubble a cherry on top).
• Financial accounting, advanced Excel (formulas, modelling, analysis), IFRS knowledge, analytical & problem-solving prowess.
• Commercially aware, communicative, numerically sharp, and calm under pressure.
