Are you confident in managing month-end responsibilities, tax returns, and financial reporting? My client is hiring a Financial Accountant to join their finance division. Ideal for someone who works well with deadlines, takes ownership of their numbers, and brings clarity to financial processes.
My client is a well-established company with a national footprint, operating in a fast-paced, structured environment. They're looking for a hands-on accountant who will manage financial reporting, ensure compliance with tax legislation, and support external audits.
This is a great opportunity for a candidate who understands the importance of accuracy, process, and professionalism in financial operations. You'll have exposure to various areas. From fixed assets and reconciliations to tax, VAT, and reporting.
Requirements:

• Record and reconcile fixed asset transactions monthly
• Manage month-end close and ensure accurate journal entries
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
• Submit VAT and income tax returns within legal timeframes
• Compile annual financial statements and support audit processes
• Ensure all accounting records meet legislative and internal requirements
• Review supplier invoices and assist with payment approval

What do you need:

• A diploma or degree in accounting or finance
• 3 to 5 years' experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role
• Strong working knowledge of Excel and accounting principles
• Experience with South African tax laws and reporting standards
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable managing month-end pressures
• Able to work well on your own and collaborate within a team
