We are on the search for a Financial Accountant to assist in managing both the day-to-day operations of the team and ensure that our growing and the ever-changing company is well supported in its financial processes.

Wexe2x80x99re looking for a Financial Accountant to join our super-efficient Finance Team. If youxe2x80x99re looking for a role where youxe2x80x99ll work closely with the Financial Manager and have opportunities to liaise and collaborate with senior leadership team members and other colleagues as well as hone your analytical and finance reporting skills then this may be the role for you.

This role is ideal for a newly qualified CA(SA), looking to boost the next phase of their career in the retail environment.

What your role looks like

• Preparation and analysis of monthly reporting packs and budgets
• Interact with auditors to provide required support for group and subsidiary audits
• Perform monthly General Ledger closure, together with supporting review schedules
• Offer insight into business performance while influencing and supporting business planning, forecasting and budgeting processes of the group
• Provide financial advice by studying operational issues, applying financial principles and practices, and developing recommendations
• Reviews and recommends modifications to accounting systems and procedures
• Assisting in the preparation of interim and year-end statutory reporting
• Ensures financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
• Assist in reporting system templates and report changes and finance improvement projects
• Complete monthly and ad hoc information for external/internal stakeholders
• Ensuring operational delivery of the finance team is maintained and managed
• Variance analysis for GP and operating expenses to understand movements within the month

What experience and skills you need for the role

Experience:

• Newly qualified CA(SA)
• Experience within Retail, with high focus on inventory and revenue recognition
• Experience in a listed environment, with specific focus on listed reporting requirements

• Required: Registered/Eligible to register CA(SA)

Pay and Benefits:
