Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:



Manage & support financial & administrative information, system, functions and output; contribute to short and long term organizational planning and strategy.

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:



Bachelors degree/Advanced diploma in Accounting (NQF level 7 and above) and completed SAICA/SAIPA articles 3-5 years working experience in a finance or administration leading role or similar role ( Logistical industry exposure advantageous) Strong analytical, numerical, problem-solving skills and inquisitive by nature Excellent communication skill and proven leadership skills Attention to detail, with strong drive for accurate output and result Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Must have a sense of internal control / audit practices PC literacy - SAP, Excel advanced level

RESPONSIBILITIES:



Financial Management:



Effective and accurate debtors / creditors / cash flow management Approve company travel orders Compile and ensure accurate preparation of journals, accruals and provisions through a proper controlled process Review GL (incl BS) before month end closing to ensure accurate reflection of all cost and provisions Accurately produce cost recovery before month end closing to inter-group companies Critically analyse Management accounts, actively interacting with respective leaders for reason of variance and action plan Monthly balance sheet reconciliations & confirm inter-co loan accounts Assist, follow-up and resolve queries, e.g. internal and external auditor's Supplier management incl valid rate and annual increase for Security & Labour Broker, etc Identify/ initiate improved working processes and methodology, as well as the opportunity for continuous improvement to add value Provide assurance about accuracy of information contained in financial report and compliance with statutory requirement.

Fixed Assets:



Maintain capex order control incl system and authorization, update and track capex spending against budget Administrate IT HW upgrade plan, keep track of SW licence and user details Maintain project budgets and track capex spending against budget Update fixed asset register for addition / disposal / sales Review and act upon annual asset audit result Reconcile Fixed Asset register to SAP, follow up on correction required.

Reporting:



Review weekly reports and follow up on queries/ outstanding items (GRIR / Down payments / Recoveries / Debtors / Creditors) Compile Month end reporting: P&L, Management report, GL and outstanding capex etc for publishing Compile annual Opex & Capex budget for all cost centers; Assist with Transport budget Load budgets into SAP Manage quarterly BEE reporting to Group Quarterly Forecast / reporting preparation and coordination (including inter company reconciliations) 3 year plan preparation and coordination

Administration:



Update financial related policy timeously: travel, claim, etc Ensure all finance processes have been documented and SOP's are updated regularly with changes Plan and publish deadline list, proactively manage compliance of the deadline by putting measures in place

Team Management & Development:



Ensure proper assignment of tasks Lead and coach staff through sound performance planning. Ensure that all relevant disciplines and processes are adhered to and understood. Encourage and support future development and continuous improvement Support other functional leaders as and when required
