Role Purpose
To support the Group Finance Technologies (GFT) team by assisting with finance-related system processes, reporting, analysis, and control activities, while applying academic financial knowledge in a structured, technology-enabled environment designed to build practical experience and professional capability
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE:

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic financial accounting principles
  • Period-end concepts (accruals, journals, reconciliations)
  • Cost vs revenue concepts
  • Segregation of duties
  • Data accuracy and validation principles
  • Audit awareness and evidence concepts
  • How finance systems or ERPs support financial processes

  • Step-by-step business processes

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting or Finance
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

Duties & Responsibilities
INTERNAL PROCESS:
  • End-to-end Group Finance process flows
  • Period-end and year-end support activities
  • Transaction lifecycle from source to financial reporting
  • Interdependencies between Finance, IT, and business units
  • Logging, tracking, and resolving finance-related support queries
  • Root-cause analysis for recurring issues
  • Communication with users and stakeholders
  • Control execution within the finance system processes
  • Evidence collection and documentation standards
  • Support for internal and external audit requests
  • Testing and validation of changes
  • Updating process documentation and user guides
  • Identifying opportunities for standardisation and automation
CLIENT PROCESS
  • Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service.

  • End-to-end client finance processes supported by GFT
  • Touchpoints between client operations, finance, and technology
  • Handling client-related finance system queries

  • Supporting evidence gathering for client audits or reviews

  • Identifying recurring client issues and root causes
  • Supporting process enhancements to improve client experience
