Finance Systems Business Analyst: Online Commerce

Job Description

The successful candidate will act as the interface between the Systems Teams, Business, PIT and other 3rd Parties, through a set of tasks and techniques, to recommend solutions (New and or improved business process, information systems, software applications) that enable the Functional Department/s and Business to achieve its goals.


We're a fully in-office team. This role is based at our Support Centre in Kuils River, Cape Town.

Finance & systems experience required




Essential

Proven experience in a Finance environment Exposure to Financial Systems and processes Proven experience of business processes flowing into journal entries & finance reporting Business Analyst exposure: system analysis; business process development, including the facilitation of workshops, stakeholder management Finance System support exposure: maintaining an incident management process; analysing the nature of incidents; liaising with system developers in order to resolve incidents. Co-ordination of quality assurance and testing

Preferred

Experience in online commerce (finance team), mobile industry, finance revenue, cash & banking reconciliation An understanding of in-store & website transactional messaging environment Finance inventory / finance treasury / revenue / cash reconciliation experience Previous experience as a Business Analyst / Systems Business Analyst will be an advantage but not a necessity Thorough grasp of business fundamentals and strategic priorities from a financial perspective Understanding of writing business requirements, system requirements and functional specifications Project Management responsibilities Exposure to successful technology implementation and process projects SAP Finance Business Analyst/Business Partners/SME's (Subject Matter Expert)

Essential


Grade 12 Certificate/Matric

A relevant Degree and or Higher National Diploma (Information Technology, Computer Science, System Design, Management Science, Business studies, Information Systems, Business Analyst)


Preferred


Project Management Diploma/Certificate

Knowledge & Skills required




Knowledge required:

Waterfall and Agile working methodologies and principles.

Working knowledge of implementing and maintaining systems/services/applications.

Knowledge of PMBOK and BABOK management principles

Ability to compile quantitative and or qualitative information/reporting

MS Suite Intermediate - Advanced user

System integration (environment/area specific)


Knowledge of Personal Data Protection - POPIA

Working knowledge of:

o Cloud based (SaaS) software applications that can enable services.

o Hardware and Software lifecycle management

o SDLC

o Change Control governance principles and Defect management.

o Fit for purpose system integration in an ERP- and non-ERP environment.


o Utilising various modelling techniques

o UI / UX

o Process Mapping tools (Draw.io, etc)
