Job Description
Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor finance system availability, user activity, and system performance across business units
- Identify system risks and improvement opportunities and propose mitigation initiatives
- Analyse business processes and define system enhancement requirements
- Propose and evaluate workflow and system optimisation solutions
- Provide second-line user support, including investigation and resolution of SAP-related issues
- Manage logged queries and ensure effective resolution
- Support finance processes during month-end, year-end, and budgeting cycles
- Share system knowledge and provide ongoing support to stakeholders
- Degree in Business Information Systems, Accounting, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in finance systems administration
- Proven experience providing finance system user support
- Experience analysing finance business processes
- Strong experience with SQL queries and data analysis
- Exposure to month-end reporting, including journals, accruals, and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel and SQL proficiency
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent planning, organisation, and time-management abilities
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into technical and operational requirements
- Finance systems and process exposure
- Ability to work onsite in Cape Town (Kuilsriver area)
- Strong attention to detail and customer-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently and within a team
