11/07/2025We are looking for a motivated and focused candidate with a keen interest in the commodity environment where you will be responsible for: invoicing, collection and settlement and relevant projects as well as business process automation, internal control, efficiency, and improvement.
Key Stakeholders
Marketing Finance Team.
Marketing front office operations team for Zinc Copper Department.
The main tasks and responsibilities include:
Validate provisional/final sales and purchase invoices against supporting documentation in collaboration with the Front office operations team.
Validation of hedge settlements.
Capture and review Service Provider invoices.
Preparation of payable invoices for settlement.
Netting/offsetting invoices, where required in collaboration with the front office operations team.
Validate and approve payments.
Follow up on invoice/settlement counterparty queries
Support Treasury Operations in resolving unapplied cash queries.
Work in close collaboration with Financial Operations team members to implement financial operations best practice including processes and internal controls.
Play an active role in the enhancement of operations activities to improve efficiency and accuracy including automation.
Perform user-acceptance testing on system enhancements that are implemented.
Qualifications and requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; or similar.
Chartered Accountant (SA) or a similar postgraduate Honours degree in Accounting or Financial Management is advantageous.
Post qualification studies or soft skills development is beneficial.
3 to 5 years' relevant experience in an accounting or internal control function, in a commodity trading environment is beneficial.

Working knowledge of commodity trading systems and invoicing to ERP integration.
Resourceful and well-structured, demonstrating a positive and engaging outlook.
Takes initiative in resolving issues in a structured methodical manner.
Ability to organize tasks to meet business requirements.
Meticulous attention to detail in a continuously changing environment.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools, especially Excel.
Advanced English language ability, both written and spoken, able to engage effectively with teams and various groups.
