PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To support the General Manager in HartliefSA as well as a dotted reporting line to Hartlief in Windhoek with reporting, controlling and other duties in die Finance Department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
B. Accounting Degree/3-year Diploma in Accounting
3 - 5 years relevant working experience
Must have the relevant experience in leading a team
Experience and knowledge in the FMCG environment will be beneficial and meat industry experience is an added advantage
Working experience on financial systems, e.g Pastel and Abaserve will be beneficial
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Strong financial accounting background. Good knowledge of internal controls.
Professional knowledge of financial management and controlling as well as preparation of financial statements.
A good knowledge of IFRS and new developments in this field
KEY ACOUNTABILITIES:
Responsible for various financial functions by reviewing information received, incorporating the information into reports that assists the business to make effective and efficient decisions
Manage, review and execute timely and accurate monthly consolidated numbers and Business Performance Review reports for HartliefSA and submit by the agreed due dates
Plan and complete all external and internal audits as per specifications
Assist the General Manager in preparing the annual operating and CAPEX budget processes for HartliefSA
Develop, improve and implement financial controls for HartliefSA
Engage with internal and external stakeholders, e.g. banks, debtors, creditors, SARS, customs, Master Permit Applications
Ensure timely and accurate submission of all direct and indirect tax returns of the Company
Prepare financial statements, accounting and tax opinions for transactions
Daily managing and capturing of all relevant information on Pastel e.g cash book data, journal entries, IFR 16, provisions, corrections, general procurement etc.
Responsible for effectively managing the Pastel Payroll and leave system.
Oversee and assist all offices in their operational expenditures and the management thereof according to the budget
