Are you a seasoned finance professional with a passion for operations and a strong presence on the ground? Our client, a respected and long-established leader in the mining sector, is seeking a Finance Manager to take charge of key operational finance functions at their Northern Cape site.
This is not your typical behind-the-desk finance role -- it's an integrated operational role, working across cost centres, managing spend, partnering with department heads, and driving financial accountability throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities

• Cost Centre Management & Cost Control: Monitor, analyse, and optimise cost drivers across various operational units.
• Financial Reporting: Oversee month-end, budgeting, and forecasting processes; prepare insightful reports for senior leadership.
• Business Partnering: Work closely with operational leaders, engineers, and production teams to influence decision-making.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a small finance team; foster collaboration and accountability.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships across departments with varying personalities and priorities.

Requirements

• Qualification: CA(SA) or Qualified ACMA/CGMA (CIMA).
• Experience: 8-10 years' experience in a finance role within a mining or manufacturing environment (essential).
• Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and operational finance.
• Excellent people and interpersonal skills - able to engage at all levels, from plant staff to executive leadership.
• Proven ability to influence operational outcomes through financial insight.
