A Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) is seeking a diversified Finance Manager to join them. Must be a CA(SA) and hold a LLB quali

The company was established in 2020 with a R1 billion donation. During phase 1 it operated as a COVID relief mechanism for small businesses, distributing the R1 billion as 5-year interest-free loans, through the 6 major banks to 10,000 SMMEs and 100,000 employees. Using the returning funds, the trust aims to continue to support small businesses by offering a range of financial and non-financial support mechanisms.

Key Requirements

  • Financial management skills
Experience in first-hand execution as well as managerial supervision of:
  • Transaction processing and capturing
  • Cashbook to trial balance processing, reconciliation, and review
  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable management and accounting
  • Drafting and review of management accounts
  • Preparing and reviewing annual financial statements
  • Preparing, reviewing, and submission of income tax and VAT returns
  • Financial analysis and forecasting
  • Forecasting and budgeting revenue, expenses, and cash flow
  • Analysing actuals against budget to identify the variance root cause
  • Business driver analysis
  • Control environment and compliance
  • Experience in identifying and managing financial and operational risks
  • Experience in designing and implementing financial and operational controls
  • Experience in digesting and applying regulations and laws to establish a composite regulatory framework.
  • Experience in engaging with auditors and managing
  • Commercial acumen and understanding
  • Ability to review investment business cases and commercial
  • Experience in validating financial forecasts against provided evaluation frameworks
  • System management
  • Managing financial software and hardware service providers
  • initiating and managing development and changing management initiatives
  • Project management:
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects involving multiple parties and
  • Organised and methodical
  • Cross-discipline training and functional
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Applicable commercial degree (Bcom & Honours/CTA)
  • Law Degree
  • Qualified CA(SA)
  • 3-5 Years experience in senior financial management, with experience supervising cross-discipline teams
  • 3-5 Years experience in executive-level engagement and stakeholder management
