Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Manager to take ownership of the financial operations for our US and European entities. This role requires strong expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and analysis within a multinational environment, with a particular focus on US GAAP and tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Oversee monthly close processes and reconciliations for US and European entities.
• Prepare and review monthly management packs for non-South African entities.
• Analyse budget vs. actual performance and provide actionable insights.
• Perform impairment assessments on EMIs, goodwill, and investments at fair value where required.

Taxation & Compliance

• Prepare US tax return schedules and ensure alignment with filed returns.
• Draft and review US GAAP accounting memos to support technical positions.

Payments & Banking

• Authorise payments through the online banking platform.
• Prepare and monitor monthly payment schedules for US and European entities.

Exchange Rates & Consolidation

• Circulate weekly exchange rates to group entities.
• Review and prepare monthly group consolidations.

Financial Statements & External Reporting

• Tie in annual and quarterly financial statements with external announcements.
• Support the preparation and review of financial disclosures.

Administrative & Ad Hoc Duties

• Record minutes of financial and operational meetings.
• Support the business with additional financial management tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CA(SA)/CPA preferred).
• 5-7 years' experience in financial management, ideally within a multinational environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and international tax regulations.
• Proficiency in financial consolidation processes and accounting systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
