A diversified group operating across the medical supplies, industrial manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, property management, and security sectors is seeking an experienced Finance Manager (Intercompany). The successful candidate will oversee financial governance, reporting, and intercompany controls across multiple business units.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Intercompany Accounting & Consolidations
Oversee all intercompany transactions, agreements, and reconciliations across the group.
Maintain and enforce transfer pricing policies aligned with tax regulations.
Ensure accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end intercompany balances elimination.
Prepare consolidated financial statements for the group.
Investigate and resolve intercompany discrepancies and mismatches.
B. Financial Management & Reporting
Manage the group's financial reporting cycle, ensuring accurate and timely submission.
Analyse financial performance across divisions (medical supplies, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, property, security).
Prepare management reports, dashboards, and variance analyses.
Support forecasting, annual budgeting, and five-year financial planning.
Oversee fixed asset registers, property valuations, amortisation, and depreciation schedules.
C. Costing & Manufacturing Finance
Implement and monitor standard costing for industrial and manufacturing operations.
Analyse production costs, variances, wastage, yield, and efficiency.
Support operational leaders with cost optimisation strategies.
Review BOMs (Bills of Materials), production runs, and inventory valuation.
D. Inventory, Logistics & Warehousing Finance
Oversee inventory accounting, cycle counts, and stock valuation methodologies.
Analyse warehousing and logistics costs, including transport, distribution, and storage.
Monitor stock ageing, write-offs, shrinkage, and provisions.
E. Compliance, Governance & Controls
Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax legislation, SARS requirements, and industry regulations.
Strengthen internal controls across all business units.
Implement risk mitigation in relation to fraud, misstatement, and operational inefficiency.
Assist with internal and external audits.
F. Treasury & Cash Flow Management
Oversee cash flow planning and intercompany funding structures.
Manage group cash pooling, loans, interest charges, and cash optimisation.
Coordinate with banks regarding facilities, guarantees, and security requirements.
G. Business Partnering
Partner with the medical supplies sales division on pricing, margins, tender costing, and rebates.
Support manufacturing with capex evaluation, production performance, and cost improvements.
Work with logistics/warehousing managers on operational cost control and planning.
Assist the property division with rental calculations, lease escalations, and ROI on developments.
Liaise with the security division on operational budgeting and asset management.
H. Systems, Process Improvement & Digitalisation
Maintain and improve ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Syspro, Oracle, NetSuite, Sage X3).
Drive automation and digitalisation of financial processes.
Provide training to finance teams and operational managers.
Desired Experience:
Mandatory:
BCom Accounting / Finance (required).
Minimum 5-10 years' finance experience, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
Exposure to audits, tax submissions, and compliance frameworks.
Sound knowledge of Intercompany accounting in a multi-entity organisation; Industrial/manufacturing cost accounting; Logistics & warehousing finance and VAT legislation.
Preferred
:
BCom Honours / CTA / CIMA advantageous.
