Job Title: Finance Manager Area: Cape Town, WC An established and growing hospitality brand looking for a Finance Manager to join their team. Location: Waterfront, Cape Town, South Africa DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, NOT LIMITED TO: Strategy Develop and oversee the implementation of appropriate accounting systems for Retail, Head Office and Restaurants (Take control of the companyxe2x80x99s accounting function. Ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth.) Tracking Cash Flow monthly and accurately reporting thereof Financial Planning - *** Analyzing the company's financial strengths and weaknesses and proposing corrective actions every 6 months across all business units. Financial management strategies for Retail, Head Office and Restaurants - communicate to employees, Franchisees and key stakeholders. Monthly - interpretation on DATA and report on their findings as well as that of the management accounts and financial reports Retail/HQ and Restaurants Report performance against strategy and risks to the management team monthly. Forecasting - Yearly up and to Business Objective Amount ** Cost Benefit analysis per Project Initiatives highlighted per Quarter * Funding & Structure Assist in ensuring that the business is appropriately capitalized. Assist structuring the business appropriately to support expansion. Risk Management & Awareness Routinely monitor market trends and developments and identify related opportunities and risks. Bi Annually **** Assess, monitor, manage, mitigate and communicate risks on an ongoing basis. Bi Annually Update the risk register for Board purposes. Bi Annually Human Resources Lead, motivate and manage all reports to maximize individual performance within your Department - Develop a culture of high performance in line with the company values. Manage reports performance framework, including company values, roles & responsibilities, annual focus areas and key performance indicators. Ensure legally-compliant human resource policies and procedures. Only hire competent and effective resources that are aligned with the company values. Franchisee Development Prepare franchise prospects to create accurate and useful financial data for potential new Franchisees. Educate and coach franchisees, and ensure that they have access to the financial tools they need to make decisions. Help select and vet promising recruits. Have a deep understanding of a franchisorxe2x80x99s business model, and of what kinds of candidates will best fit that model. Finance & Administration - The below is to be done on agreed timelines and accurately Correct Financial accounting and reporting in a timely fashion Managing ALL departmental spend - and individual expenditure vs budget. Monthly analysis of expenditure and cost cutting Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and according to GAAP. Ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures. Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met. Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit and liaise with external auditors. Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions. Manage and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with policy. Ensure policies and procedures to ensure that personnel and financial information is secure and stored in compliance with current legislation. Manage the acquisition of capital assets and ensure that assets are properly recorded, amortized, and disposed of appropriately. Payroll preparation and administration Oversee all payroll functions to ensure that employees are paid accurately on time. Process and submit statutory and benefits remittances on time. Budget preparation Establish guidelines for budget and forecast preparation and prepare the annual budget in consultation with the CEO. Office administration Oversee and supervise the administrative function of the organization facilities, safety, furnishings and equipment necessary for effective operations. Oversee the management of all leases, contracts and other financial commitments. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. Procurement Ensuring the implementation of appropriate and sustainable procurement policies REQUIREMENTS Tertiary education with specialized certification in Financial Accounting or relevant equivalent experience Completed articles xe2x80x93 Qualified CA or relevant recognized equivalent qualification Must not only understand finance but also franchisees Entrepreneur business mindset Be a go getter Ability to work with budgets and advise on financial decision making Advanced experience in MS Office programmes with advance Excel knowledge Ability to administer and execute financial processes and transactions Good administrative and interpersonal skills Ability to handle pressure and is dynamic to change Job Type: Full-time Salary: R60,000.00 - R65,000.00 per month Application Question(s):
