Finance Manager Finance
Durban - KwaZulu Natal - South Africa

Our client, an NGO based in Durban, is looking for a Finance Manager to join their team who will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, & risk management of the organization.

This position would suit a mature candidate who would like a hands-on role, is not seeking career growth and/or a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• BCom Degree in Financial Accounting or similar
• Experience with Xero Accounting Software
• Above average competency in Microsoft Office
• 3 years' experience in financial management
• Experience within the non-government organisation sector

Key Performance Areas:

• Develop & maintain financial policies & procedures that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Create & monitor annual budgets & forecasts for the organisation & all projects, & provide regular updates to senior management & funder representatives
• Prepare & present monthly, quarterly, & annual financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, & cash flow statements, & work directly with external auditors
• Analyze financial data & provide strategic insights & recommendations to senior management
• Manage the company's cash flow & ensure that funds are correctly allocated & invested
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial goals are aligned with organisation's objectives
• Develop & implement financial strategies that support growth & profitability
• Ensure that the company's financial records are accurate & up-to-date & that all financial transactions are correctly recorded & documented
• Be the custodian of the assets of the organisation
