Position Title:

Finance Intern

Purpose of the Role:

To support the finance team with day-to-day operations, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, reporting, and administrative tasks. The intern will gain practical experience in financial processes and systems, contributing to the overall efficiency of the department.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

Currently studying or recently completed a qualification in Finance at

NQF Level 6

(e.g., Diploma in Financial Management, Accounting, or similar).

Academic Performance:

Minimum

65% in all finance-related subjects

Technical Skills:

Basic understanding of accounting principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Exposure to accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks) is advantageous.

Soft Skills:

Strong attention to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to learn and take initiative. Ability to work independently and in a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with capturing financial transactions and maintaining accurate records. Support the preparation of monthly reports and reconciliations. Help with invoice processing and payment tracking. Perform administrative duties related to finance and compliance. Participate in audits and internal reviews as required. Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
