The Opportunity
Are you a motivated F&I professional with a "get-it-done" attitude? Our client, a busy motor dealership in Roodepoort, is seeking a dynamic F&I Consultant to join their finance team.
In this role, you will be the bridge between a customer's dream car and their keys. You'll work alongside the sales team to structure deals, secure bank approvals, and ensure every customer drives away with the best value-added protection for their new vehicle.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Deal Structuring & Support

• Collaborate with Sales Executives to gather high-quality credit applications.
• Explain finance options, interest rates, and terms to customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Assist in negotiating with banks to secure timeous deal approvals.

Value Added Products (VAPs)

• Present and sell essential products including extended warranties, service plans, and shortfall insurance.
• Ensure customers understand the benefits of their cover while maintaining ethical and compliant sales practices.

Credit Evaluation & Compliance

• Review supporting documents (ID, Proof of Income, Affordability) for accuracy.
• Ensure every deal is 100% compliant with FAIS and NCA regulations.
• Maintain meticulous "contract packs" and electronic files to ensure smooth payout from the banks.

Relationship Management

• Maintain strong working relationships with bank credit cross-functional teams and insurers.
• Support a seamless handover process from the sales floor to the finance office.

What You Need to Bring
Qualifications & Compliance

• Grade 12 (Essential).
• FAIS Accreditation (Credits as per the required business class).
• NCA Card (Essential).
• RE5 Certification (Highly advantageous).

Experience & Skills

• At least 3 to 4 years' experience as an F&I Consultant or Assistant within an automotive dealership environment.
• Solid knowledge of retail vehicle finance and credit scoring.
• High attention to detail--you hate mistakes in paperwork!
• A customer-focused approach with the energy to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Systems

• Proficiency in Signio or similar F&I platforms.
• Competency in Microsoft Office and dealership CRM systems.

Other Requirements

• Valid South African Driver's Licence.
• Clear Criminal and Credit record (Non-negotiable).
