Job Description

Reporting directly to the Business Unit (BU) Chief Operating Officer, the Financial Director will serve as a key strategic partner in driving the financial performance and long-term sustainability of Omnias agriculture business. This role will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, ensuring robust financial planning and analysis, and optimizing resource allocation to support the BUs growth objectives. The Financial Director will oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and compliance, while identifying opportunities to enhance profitability and operational efficiency. By leveraging deep financial expertise and industry insights, the Financial Director will play a critical role in shaping the BUs strategic direction, ensuring alignment with Omnias overall company goals, and fostering a culture of financial discipline and accountability.
Qualifications

• A post graduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
• An MBA or masters degree is highly desirable.
• Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent certification.

Experience

• 10 to 15 years experience in manufacturing, chemical and/or agricultural environment.
• Minimum of 5 years senior management level experience as a CFO.
• Experience in managing multiple international regions and entities at a senior level.
• Demonstrable experience in developing and executing strategies and business plans.
• Experience in quality assurance and continuous improvement management.
• Proven people management experience and managing high performance diverse teams.
• Experience in governance, risk and compliance management

DutiesKey ResponsibilitiesStrategic Financial Leadership

• Partner with the Chief Operating Officer and senior leadership to develop and execute the BUs financial strategy in alignment with Omnias Group objectives.
• Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making, including investments, market expansion, and operational improvements.
• Drive long-term financial planning to ensure sustainable growth and profitability.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
• Monitor financial performance against targets, identifying risks and opportunities, and recommending corrective actions.
• Deliver accurate and timely financial reports, analysis, and insights to the Managing Director and executive team.

Capital Management & Resource Allocation

• Optimize capital allocation to support strategic priorities, including investments in technology, infrastructure, and market expansion.
• Manage working capital, cash flow, and liquidity to ensure the BUs financial stability.
• Evaluate and oversee funding strategies, including debt and equity financing, as required.

Risk Management & Compliance

• Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including market volatility, currency fluctuations, and regulatory changes.
• Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax requirements.
• Implement robust internal controls and governance frameworks to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.

Operational Efficiency & Cost Management

• Drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs across the BU.
• Collaborate with operational teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance profitability.

Stakeholder Management & Reporting

• Act as the primary financial liaison between the BU and Omnias Group finance team, ensuring alignment and transparency.
• Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, investors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
• Present financial performance, strategic initiatives, and risk assessments to the Managing Director, leadership team and other key stakeholders.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure the finance function is equipped with the skills, tools, and systems needed to deliver on strategic and operational objectives.
