Job Description

This role is within a global organisation operating in the communications and media software space, supporting multiple business units across international markets. The business follows an acquisition-led growth strategy and offers exposure to complex, multi-entity, multi-currency operations.
Reporting directly to the CEO / Business Unit Leader, the Director of Finance will act as a strategic business partner, overseeing all financial aspects of the business unit. The role combines strategic insight with hands-on financial leadership, including forecasting, reporting, compliance, and team development.
Key Responsibilities:

• Own and manage the quarterly forecasting and strategic review process, ensuring forecast accuracy
• Provide insightful management reporting and financial analysis, including key operating ratios and performance commentary
• Oversee end-to-end finance operations, including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, treasury, and financial close
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements
• Lead audit processes and address internal and external audit queries
• Partner with functional leaders on project bids, contracts, and commercial decision-making
• Lead, develop, and mentor the finance team, driving succession planning and talent development

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Education:

• Accounting qualification (CPA or equivalent)
• Experience:

• Minimum 5+ years post-qualification experience
• Big 4 experience preferred
• Experience in software, technology, or telecommunications environments advantageous
• Exposure to multi-entity, multi-country, and multi-currency operations
• Skills:

• Strong IFRS knowledge, particularly IFRS 15 / revenue recognition
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with ERP and finance systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Blackline, Salesforce, or similar (advantageous)
• Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
• Other non-negotiables:

• Hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to travel up to 10% internationally
