Purpose of this role
Our client is urgently seeking a highly experienced finance professional on a short-term contract to support financial operations, budgeting and reporting within a storage and logistics environment. The successful candidate must have strong financial acumen and be comfortable working with operational cost drivers such as fleet management and pallet space utilisation.
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, manage and monitor budgets and forecasts
• Perform detailed financial analysis, cost control, and variance reporting
• Advanced use of spreadsheets for financial modelling and reporting
• Analyse operational costs related to storage, fleet and pallet space utilisation
• Provide financial insights to support operational and management decision-making
• Ensure accurate financial reporting within tight deadlines
• Collaborate closely with operations and management teams

Minimum Requirements

• Proven strong financial background
• Extensive experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
• Advanced Excel / spreadsheet skills
• Experience within storage, logistics, warehousing or fleet-based environments
• Solid understanding of fleet costs, storage costs, and pallet space utilization
• Ability to start immediately
• Availability for a 3-month contract

Education requirements

• BCom Degree in Finance, Accounting or Management Accounting essential
• CIMA / SAICA / SAIPA qualifications advantageous
• Strong foundation in financial management and accounting principles

Salary: R 30 000 - R 35 000 CTC
