Job Summary To qualify for this position, you need:
Matric certificate.
Legal secretary / BCOM accounting qualification or equivalent advantageous.
Experience preparing and managing Statements of Account for conveyancing transactions.
Familiarity with legal case management and accounting systems (e.g. E4 and AJS or similar accounting software).
High level of computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Prepare and balance Statements of Account in E4 for residential and commercial property transactions.
Input payments in AJS to multiple stakeholders ensuring all transactions are accurate and authorised in line with firm policy.
Invoicing fees in AJS
Monitor and reconcile client ledgers, highlight discrepancies, and resolve financial queries efficiently.
Support the finance and legal teams with administrative tasks including document preparation, client communication, and general case progression support.
